Janna Climb set a la Caroline (1366)

 My friend Janna gave me a climbing routine that she made-up.....I changed a little and made it mine.  Here is it....  Hope you enjoy!  Resistance and breaks are up to the instructor.  

 after warm up......

1:00 seated climb

1:00 standing climb

1:00 seated climb

1:00 standing climb

3 X attacks (out of saddle, hands in 3rd and “attacking” the hill)

Repeat above

 

:15 X 8 seated sprints

:15 X 8 attacks

1:00 jumps X 2

 

Repeat both sets above.  You can adjust sets depending on length of class. 

As far as music goes....my latest trend is using aerobics music from John Sines and running the music through "tempo Magic" on my i-pod.  Tempo magic is an AP that allows you to change the tempo of the music easily right from your i-pod.  I use 129-133 BPM for climbs and faster up to 144 bpm for sprints...the jumps and such are somewhere in between as far as BPM.  Let me know if you have questions.  Caroline
