Some of my favorite drills to use in class are tough to put into words...and if you are like me, if I routine is too wordy...I'm like Jay-Z and on to the next one.....I will try to make this short and easy to read

  • Use med resistance(lite climb), while seated and count the rotation of right leg 10 times and then stand(jog)..wait until all of class is standing and then sit and repeat....do this 4 X
  • do 10 rotations of left leg 4 X
  • do 20 rotations 4 X for both rt and left leg
  • 30 rotations 4 X for both right and left leg
  • 40 rotations 4 X for both right and left legs

when you are doing the "rotations"...encourage students to push and work the leg they are counting...this way they alternate the "working" leg

an alternate drill but similar is as follows:

  • 10 rotations right and left leg 4X
  • 20 rotations right and left leg 3 X
  • 30 rotations right and left leg 2 X
  • 40 rotations right and left leg 1 X

This is a tough drill and takes a while to complete...the second drill is shorter.  Mcarolineb@verizon.net with any questions.  Glad to be back !  caroline
