I loved this routine!  Try it this week.....click here for music to match.

I just loved this loop added by Misty ....thanks Misty!  I did download a few of Misty's song suggestions and then I filled in with music I already owned.  You can find the i-mix above.  I started out with a ....

  • warm/stretch  to "didn't mean to turn you on"
  • first loop I used "move along", "everlong" and "shimmer"...this was my alternative set/loop
  • then a set of jumps to "brass Monkey"
  • second loop I used "disco Infiltrator", "girls on the dance floor" and "how did you know"
  • then a sprint set to "Mrs Robinson"
  • Last loop I used " party in the usa", "tik Tok" and "3"
  • then a cadence drill to beercan....for this I do a seated flat and keep a fast pace but not a sprint for 1:00 then rest and do again until song is over.

I added sprints or jumps or a hover climb to the end of each loop if the below loop was over and I still have extra music.  I changed  Misty's loop a little to suit my teaching style...the original is below...I changed the attacks to :10 in saddle then :10 stand attack(this was sort of like a :10 seated flat/climb then a :10 standing sprint done over and over for 1:00)....also , I did the first set of attacks for 1:30.....the other 2 sets of attacks I did for 1:00 just as suggested.  This was fun, challenging and super easy to teach(as in the class all knew what to do next and was not bored and always felt challenged)

3 Minutes seated
            minute 1 -Level 4 last :15 sprint
            minute 2- Level 5 last :15 sprint
            minute 3- Level 6 last :15 sprint
:60 standing Climb (leaving above gears on)
:60 standing Attacks (:10 on/:05 off)
:60 Hover
:60 standing Attacks (:10 on/:05 off)
:60 seated removing 1 gear every :20
:60 standing Attacks (:10 on/:05 off)
:60 seated Flat 100-120 RPMs

Hope you enjoy!  I cannot take credit for this one....Thanks Misty!  You are awesome!  Keep the good ideas coming!  caroline Mcarolineb@verizon.net
