This is one drill  that i often use it at the end of a climbing sequence to bring riders down off high/steep hills.  Two songs that I find it works best to are You Shook Me All Night Long (Ac/Dc) or "Let's Get Crazy" (Prince).

Drill starts with heavy seat climb (@ 7 or 8 out of 10) for the first 50 seconds ... then take 1 notch of tension off and seated accelerate with tension @ chorus (about 15-20 sec)...  return to flat ride for 30 seconds then take 1 notch of tension off... Accelerate (15 to 20 sec) ... REPEAT the same sequence.

I give the class the option of doing the drill out of the saddle/hand position 2 for most of the drill, but the LAST acceleration everyone is seated.
