This is one drill that I use.  Can be modified depending on song length. I find it works best to the 80's hip-hop classic "White Lines" by grand master flash (remade in the 90s by Duran-Duran).

 

Start at a flat with moderate tension for about 30 seconds... move to HEAVY seated flat for about 30 seconds @ the chorus (freeze rock) all out sprint until "higher baby" then start add 1 notch of tension.. then another  until back to moderate tension  REPEAT until end of song.
