Catch Me (1080)

This routine looks like a lot at 1st glance, but it's really not.  Basically the 2nd & 3rd hills are the same as the 1st only the resistance is added on differently and the hills get longer.  You can start the 3rd hill 1st if you want, that way you start with the longer, easier hill, then finish with the 1st hill which is the shortest, hardest hill.  This routine is right at 58 minutes I think.

For the 8 minute climbing jumps 2 minutes standing, 1 minute jog, 1 minute seated, 1 minute standing, :45 sec jog, :30 seated, :30 standing, :30 jog, :15 seated, :15 standing, :15 jog.

Catch me - resistance should be enough where the class can stand and sprint (I usually tell them a level 5 is good).  Everyone remains in the saddle until YOU stand and sprint without telling them “when”, they must be paying attention to you at all times so they can “catch” you in the race.  Sprints are as long as you want to make them (I usually do anywhere between 15 – 30 seconds).

5 minute warm up of your choice

4 minute seated climb - start on flat road, add ¼ turn every 15 seconds (end up w/16 gears on)
8 minute climbing jumps (not adding resistance)
3 minutes to “Catch Me”
= 15 minutes

5 minute seated climb - start on flat road, add ¼ turn every 20 seconds (end up w/15 gears on)
8 minute climbing jumps (not adding resistance)
3 minutes to “Catch Me”
= 16 minutes

6 minute seated climb - start on flat road, add ¼ turn every 30 seconds (end up w/12 gears on)
8 minute climbing jumps (not adding resistance)
3 minutes to “Catch Me”
= 17 minutes

5 minute cool down/stretch of your choice
